Milk Paint and Why it's a Favorite

SO whats the difference in this and other paints you ask?

Well... you know how all these old furniture pieces have that white chippy finish to them??

Well that's what  you get when you paint with milk paint! If you look back at my other post on some pieces I painted using different types of paint, you can see the difference. There are some tricks to get a lot of "chippiness" and since I have only painted a couple pieces using milk paint, I can only tell you what I have learned thus far.

Eyebrow Tutorial

This is my first video and might be my last, since it took me 10 times to do it😏 please be nice😊

I'm certainly no expert, but I think most makeup artist would agree that Eyebrows can literally change the look of your face. If you are like I was in the beginning, I couldn't ever get the shape right and it would take me entirely too long, at least that was the case, until I found the Sonia Kashuk #27 eyeliner brush. Total game changer for me!! I think it's because of the angle and how narrow it is. The key is to line underneath the eyebrow first then do the same at the top and just fill in the middle of the brow as you go.

Chalk Paint

Today we are sharing our favorite go to paint. We love the flat matte finish it gives to our furniture pieces. You could also use a flat white paint, but the finish on the chalk paint is more of the look we are going for.

All You Need is Love....

All you need is love... Oh if only that were true... Relationships would be a lot easier.

There is no doubt we have all had times in our marriage or relationships (including us), where you lose that passion you once had due to so much happening in your lives. I can remember feeling at the end of the day that I had nothing left in me, especially being intimate. Well fast forward to where we are now and we can truly say we feel as much in love today (if not more), as we did when we first started dating. So how did we get to that place ?

Favorite Things Friday

Today we wanted to share with you a couple of favorite things. First up is one of My (Tammy's) personal  favorites... a letter written by my great grandmother to her son (my poppy) in 1938. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Washington State. He made $25 per month and would send it all home to his widowed mother.

Conflict/Resolution

Today we want to talk about conflict or disagreements in relationships. After 26 years of being together, we have most certainly had our share of arguments. With most any relationship wether it be friends, family or spouses, there will always be times you don't see eye to eye, but the key to maintaining those relationships is how you handle your disagreements.
