We started our Scandinavian themed Christmas off with an awesome adult drink called Glogg. This hot beverage is commonly served this time of year in the Nordic countries. It is made with lots of alcohol and some amazing spices. Todd and his buddies loved it. In fact, I have already had to make two batches. I’ve included the recipe I used below in case you want to make some for yourselves! Hope you are all having fun getting your homes decked  For the Holidays!  Have a great day! 

Glogg

-1 cup water

-1/2 cup sugar

- 1 cup vodka (SVEDKA)

-2 cups of Port Wine (we bought ours at ABC liquors) - 2 cups of Burgundy wine or Pinot Noir

- 1/2 cup raisins -3 TBSP of Mulling spices (I used @williamssonoma but you can use any or just make your own)

- 2 cinnamon sticks broken in half

-Bring water and sugar to boil in pot on stove until sugar is dissolved. Stir using a wooden spoon. Turn heat to medium low and Add all your spices into water sugar moisture and allow to simmer for 10 minutes. Do not boil. Add in both raisin/ vodka mixture and both wines simmer for 5 minutes. Strain and serve warm. Garnish with cinnamon stick and orange slice.
