If you are looking for something delicious to bring to a Christmas Dinner party, look no further! This salad will be one of the first things to go and everyone will be begging for the recipe!
This is my most requested salad to bring to functions anytime of the year! .
Denmark Cottage Salad
• 1 to 1 1/2 bags of chopped Romaine lettuce
• 1/2 chopped red onion
• 1 container of feta cheese • 1 bag dried cranberries
• 1 cup toasted pecans
In large bowl layer romaine then add toppings.
Toasted pecans: Place Pecans on baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes .. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP
Red Wine Vinaigrette .
•1/2 cup red wine vinegar
•1/2 cup olive oil or canola oil
•1/2 cup sugar ( for low fat version use 8 packettes sweet n low or Splenda )
•1 teaspoon dijon mustard
•1 teaspoon oregano
•1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper
Pour into mason jar and shake. Store in refrigerator up to two to three months.
Add about 1/4 of dressing or more to taste right before serving and toss. .
