Week in Review

I thought it would be fun to start posting a week in review periodically to share what’s happening around the Cottage.
This one will include photos from the past couple weeks since it is my first.

Colli and I have been spending a lot of time outside in the cottage garden since the weather has been so nice.
We bought this beautiful stone planter from a shop in Fernandina. We ended up adding some sand to it temporarily for Colli to dig up hidden treasures. The “pirates” have already buried some gold coins, army men and sea shells. I love how excited he gets when he finds a “treasure” and it has created hours of fun.

I added Geraniums to my kitchen window box that I purchased from our Local produce stand, KC’S Produce. They are a yearly favorite addition and last into the Summer.

Our Collard Greens are doing great in the cottage garden and will be ready to harvest soon. You can find my Recipe for them HERE.

The fig tree that we planted last year lost all of its leaves and has now started sprouting new ones. This is so exciting to see since we weren’t sure if it would make it.

We got to meet our new granddaughter Daisy this week. She’s such a cutie and Colli loves her. Our family are huge lovers of Boxers and their sweet personalities and this girl is such a sweetie.

A friend at work filmed a scene from his movie he wrote around our fire pit area. Todd and Jack got to be a part of it and although it was a lot of work, it was so much fun to watch.

Last… But not least… Colli picked some wildflowers for me from the field. It’s hard to believe they are already starting to pop up everywhere.

I love this time time of year in North Florida… temps are still tolerable and there is no humidity.
I hope you Have a great weekend friends! We are going on our weekend bike ride tomorrow near the beach, so hopefully I’ll have some Sandy beach pics to share with you next week.
