Trees of Christmas Past

I was looking through all of the Christmas photos on my phone and thought it would be fun to share some of my Decorated trees from Past Christmases.

This little tree from 2017 was a favorite of mine and also so many of you. I did a more minimalistic / Scandinavian Theme for Christmas that year and it’s still my favorite. I was so excited to find this cute little guy from Home Depot that year. Nothing like the smell of a fresh cut Christmas Tree and honestly I think he is adorable without all the decorations .

This big guy was from 2016 and was a Tree that we had for ten years or more. It was one of those trees that you had to put each individual branch in the little metal slot. It took forever to put together and light, but it was my favorite artificial tree ever.

This tree from 2018 was featured in a local magazine along with many other photos of the house Decorated for Christmas. It was the first year I incorporated the wooden roses from Hobby Lobby into the tree..I have used them every year since.

For our 2019 Christmas tree I used all the ornaments from the previous years tree and added Icicles and gold bead garland to dress it up.

The playroom tree for 2019 was a candy cane theme and is probably one of my favorite tree.

For 2020 I used what I had from the year before but also added in all of our traditional ornaments that we have collected over the years. I loved how full it was with all of the decorations.

This was the playroom Tree for 2020. Our grandson Collin loves The Nightmare Before Christmas movie so I themed the room around that. I probably used 50 bags of faux snow but I love how it turned out.

This years (2021) tree is more of an Elegant woodland tree. I used most all of the decorations from the previous years and then added in some owls and white branches from Hobby Lobby. I found the large owl at a Christmas Shop in Mount Dora, Fl.

Here is this years (2021) playroom tree. I wanted an old-fashioned theme and I honestly just used all of our old ornaments that we have gathered over the years.
One thing I love to do when we visit places, is to purchase an ornament so we have something to remember our trip by. It’s always brings back great memories when we pull them out each year.

Well hopefully this has inspired you a bit to start decorating if you haven’t already. Get the kids or grandkids involved and turn on a Christmas movie and make it a full day of decorating while taking breaks to enjoy some hot cocoa and snacks. Make lasting memories with the littles.
