Weekend Treasures

I found more great vintage and Antique treasures while on one of our weekend Bike Rides in Historic Fernandina Beach.

I frequent this one particular antique store in the Historic District called Eight Flags Antique Market. I have found some amazing items over the last couple years there and this weekend was no exception.

I have quite a fondness for old wooden crates and boxes and I loved the dovetail details on the corners of this box.

I also love that this was personalized with someone’s initials.
I use crates around the house to store pillows and blankets in, but since this guy is smaller, he will be perfect to put a plant or other items in.

This little antique sewing basket was a favorite find of the day. I love that it included the name of the sweet lady it belonged to …Flose. It’s also dated December 3, 1903 and says it was her work basket ❤️

It included all the old thread and needles, thimbles. Etc.

These Crane/Stork embroidery scissors were also in the sewing basket.

I love this little metal sewing ruler that was in the basket as well.

Such wonderful treasures and I love knowing the name of the person who owned it.

Anyone remember these old metal list finders? The date on the bottom says April 26, 1938.

I looked up some of the names inside and most have already passed on. A lot of them were from New York and Virginia and one or two from Florida.

This metal note pad was a neat find and I plan to actually use it. I’m going to display it on the desk in our living room along with the list finder.

I’m always needing small spoons for my hot tea. I love the shape of this sweet little spoon and it’s the perfect size.

I loved sharing all these special treasures with you. I used to enjoy sharing all my vintage and antique finds with my sweet followers when I was on social media, so I thought I would start sharing them here now.
I hope you enjoy seeing these things and that maybe they will bring back memories for you as well.

Hugs!

Tammy
