Week In Review 06.20.21

Summer Vacation at St. Augustine Beach, Fl.

Our week was filled making wonderful memories with friends and family at our favorite place… St. Augustine Beach, Fl.

Colli did a lot of exploring on the grounds of The condo and he made a few new friends while we were there. We have been coming to Colony Reef Club since our kids were little and we all have such great memories there…Now we get to make sweet memories for our Colli.

We did a whole lot of snacking out on the patio during our week stay.
We like to stay on the bottom floor of the condominium every time we go…this way we are close to the pool and can watch the kids play in the grassy area.

We always go downtown to the Historic District and do a little shopping and eating on St. George street. Colli got to pick out a Spider-Man lunch box and fill it with salt water Taffy and Lolli always has to make a stop at Kilwins to get a caramel Apple covered in white chocolate and cinnamon sugar.

We eat at The Columbia Restaurant at least twice during our stays in St. Augustine. The black bean cakes and 1905 Salad are two of my favorite things besides the amazing Cuban bread with butter. We put Todd in time out while we were there since he Wasn’t behaving 🤣.

I promised Colli we would go down to the beach at night with a flash light and find the crabs. He was so looking forward to it and thankfully we found one just as we were leaving 😰

Todd always brings his shovel and big buckets from home to build sandcastles . Colli wasn’t as interested in building them as he was in destroying them.

Todd also brought his surfboard and taught the kids how to surf..

A friend brought a fun game called LCR (Left Right Center) and now we have to have one ourselves. We decided to play with cash instead of using the chips that come with it and the kids ended up winning all the money in the end .

The kids (our son Jack and his girlfriend Zoey) typically want to go on a Ghost Tour while we are there. This time we did the Ghosts and Gravestones Trolley Tour… it was nice if you don’t want to do a lot of walking, however we have been on better ghost tours than this one over the years.

We went to an amazing Bakery called Creme de La Cocoa where they make the most amazing desserts. It’s not too far from Ripleys Believe It or Not (going away from town) and we actually made two separate trips there (I Suggest driving there since it’s not really within walking distance of downtown). My favorite things were the homemade cookie sandwiches, especially the Flourless Chocolate Sea Salt Cookie sandwiches… holy moly those things are good!

Colli loved the pool and wanted to be in it every minute of the day. He especially loved playing Spider-Man with Pops and jumping off his shoulders. Next time we go… I am definitely purchasing one of these… a lady had one at the pool and I loved it.

This was a wonderful week with friends and family and I can’t wait to do it again next year.
As always, thanks for stopping by the blog and saying Hi! I love sharing our Weekly Updates with you!
Hugs!
