Seven Sisters Rose

If you’re looking for a beautiful climbing Rose that is little to no maintenance and grows in most any soil…the Seven Sisters Rose is for you.

This beautiful species of Rose gets its name due to the fact that its blossoms change seven shades of pink once it begins to flower.
Apparently, It was nicknamed “seven sisters” because like sisters, the flowers look similar but change as they mature. (Dengarden.com)

Todd planted the Rose bush in our Cottage Garden a year ago and we Weaved the existing vines through the fence posts.

I honestly hadn’t expected it to bloom so quickly after planting , so it was a nice surprise to see all these incredible blossoms this Spring. We didn’t do anything special but water it daily in the morning…we learned the hard way not to water in the evening since it causes fungus to grow on the leaves.

We are a zone 8 here in North Florida and often get frosts in the winter. Thankfully the harsh winter we had this year didn’t seem to affect it. We also have very Sandy soil which it seems to thrive in.

I have loved seeing all the petals change color over the last week or so. I haven’t noticed a strong scent as of yet but supposedly they have a fruity fragrance.

If you are local… you can find the seven Sisters Rose at G & K Nursery . There are also various places online to purchase these beauties. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with any of these companies so I don’t feel comfortable linking them here, but I’m sure you can find the Seven Sisters Rose at your local Nursery.

Hugs!

❤️
