Garden Party
Last year when Covid introduced itself and wreaked havoc among us, all gatherings were cancelled including Prom for our son Jack and his girlfriend Zoey. Consequently it was also Zoeys sweet sixteenth birthday, which meant celebrating with a large party was out of the question.
So we took matters into our own hands and had a mini prom and intimate Birthday celebration for Zoey in the Cottage Garden.
Our sweet boy made dinner for his Birthday girl and we set up a table in the Garden for them to eat at.
Salmon stuffed with Herbed rice.
Todd made the perfect waiter and he had an interesting British accent to go along with his suit and top hat.
After dinner and a little dancing the kids changed clothes and watched one of their favorite movies outside at the fire pit. We made sure Zoey had some of her favorite treats to snack on.
It was such a memorable night and I think we had as much fun planning it, as they did celebrating.
Such great memories for all of us despite the circumstances of 2020.
