Week In Review 04.18.21
Here are a few snippets from the last week or two….
We bought Colli a Butterfly Growing kit for Easter and he has loved watching the process of the caterpillar turn into a Chrysalis. We are now waiting for the butterflies to emerge and then we will let them go (see the chrysalis stage in the video above).
Colli and I did a whole lot of exploring with his little outdoor exploration kit.
He wrote down what he saw and then drew a picture. We found an inch worm and watched him inch his way up the tree ( watch the video to see him in action).
I Love THIS KIT for kids to get out and explore with and it would make a great birthday gift.
I was so excited to see that our Blueberry Bushes we planted last year are now producing fruit! So exciting for us since this was our first time planting blueberries… btw.. I read that you need two bushes so they can pollenate, otherwise they won’t produce fruit.
I bought a new toy!! It’s the Cuisinart Air Fryer, Toaster Oven and Convection Oven Combo and I love it ! I made the Chicken and sweet potatoes in the air fryer and they turned out amazing.
it cooks everything twice as fast and has been a great addition to our kitchen. I will say it’s been a bit of a learning curve as to how long to cook things. I have found that most things take less than half the regular baking time, but I’m still experimenting.
Colli and I planted cherry tomatoes in the garden troughs. Can you believe this boy will Sit and eat a whole container of cherry tomatoes?? What kid does that ? Anyway, it will be fun for him to come out and grab some off the vine when the start producing fruit.
I recently watched the Movie Miss Potter and was so inspired by her story that I went and bought a set of her books from the 1930’s . If you haven’t seen this movie… I definitely recommend it! So inspirational and sweet.
The confederate Jasmine has started to bloom and it smells heavenly. Some mornings I open the French doors in the bedroom and just lay there taking in all it’s beauty and intoxicating aroma.
Last but certainly not least… Jackson and his beautiful girlfriend Zoey went to Prom. I can’t believe this is Jacks Senior Prom and that he will be graduating High School in May. He is such an awesome kid and we are so proud of him.
I love that our daughter Zoey (who is a hairstylist) did Jacks girlfriends (also Zoey) hair and makeup… she looks like a little movie star.
